Looks like Apple is slowly snubbing off Google services
Apple CEO Steve Jobs said Picasa library format will not be supported in iTunes, reported 9to5Mac. This was conveyed by an email response that Jobs gave to a UK based reader. Jobs not only denied Picasa support in iTunes but also pointed out that "iPhoto program on Mac has much better Faces and Places features".
Apple and Google's cold war is slowly heating up, especially after the recent patent infringement lawsuit fight between Apple - HTC where Google is supporting the latter.
Slowly but smartly, Apple is dropping support for Google services - first Google Voice and now Picasa. Hey, we aren't pointing fingers but it's all evidential. Just like Google has an ecosystem of OS, web applications, services and even mobile OS, seems like Apple is building an ecosystem of its own as well.
We believe this is sheerly a strategic decision by Jobs himself and has nothing to do with cold war between both companies.
