Cowon has announced the new slim J3 portable media player in Seoul, Korea. This portable media player has won the Red Dot Design Award along with iAUDIO9, E2 and V5 portable media players. The new slim J3 PMP has 3.3-inch AMOLED touch-screen display which makes it look like a smartphone. Cowon will release the J3 portable media player in 4GB, 8GB and 16GB internal memory capacities.


This new Cowon J3 resembles the S9 player and has a 3.3-inch Active-Matrix Organic Light-Emitting Diode based display supporting 480x272 pixel resolution. Along with that, the J3 PMP will feature accelerometer which, we believe, would be usable while playing games. This PMP also connects the player to the TV via the TV out port but doesn't have an HDMI port like that in V5 HD PMP. For wireless connectivity, Cowon has packed in Bluetooth 2.0 and Wi-Fi support.


Pricing details of this media player haven't been announced as yet.

What a bakwaas player so Cowon finally adds WiFi to their device...rejoice Cowon fanboys. You were idiots in the first place shelling out higher $ for S9 even though it didn't have WiFi
