Opera is has released the final versions of its Opera Mini 5 and Opera Mobile 10 web browsers for mobile phones. After planting the Opera Mini 5 beta versions on iPhone and Android recently, Opera has now decided to release the final builds. All Java running mobile handsets can run Opera Mini 5 mobile web browser.

Opera Mini browser uses a unique compression technology that squeezes the heavy web pages into mobile friendly format when it reaches the mobile phone via GPRS. Built on the Java Platform, Micro Edition (Java ME) platform, Opera Mini 5 claims to offer desktop like mobile web browsing experience - of course you need to have decent GPRS connectivity. The jump from Opera Mini 4.2 to Opera Mini 5 would be drastic and rich user experience is guaranteed.

Few of the most deserved features - Browser Tabs, Password manager, Opera Link for bookmarks syncing and Download Manager co-exist on the new Opera Mini 5.

Opera Mobile 10 would be a tiny upgrade from Opera Mobile 9.6 and will bring all the common goodies including Opera Link for bookmark syncing.

All Java running mobile handsets can run Opera Mini 5 mobile web browser, while the Opera Mobile 10 is meant for for Windows Mobile and Symbian 60 smartphones. Download Opera Mini 5 and Opera Mobile 10 on PC from www.opera.com/mobile/ or visit m.opera.com from your mobile handset's web browser.

So far, Opera has been leading the mobile web browser segment while Mozilla has just managed to get Firefox on Nokia's Maemo OS. Firefox's mobile version for Windows Mobile is under development and that would be the only ground where it can compete with Opera. Of course, other browsers like Bolt and Skyfire exists but it's too early to say anything about them.

operamini is the best browser for mobile, doesnt support flash, but still the best, skyfire is also good, not as good as opera, it has some glitches, but worth a try. i m using opera on desktop as well since some good 7 or 8 years, it was a paid application then. but opera is the best, just tweak and its the fastest.
