After introducing the Twitter app for Zune HD in December 2009, Microsoft's Zune HD team brings the Facebook app for the portable media player. The Facebook app can be downloaded directly on the Zune HD player through integrated App Marketplace menu. Alternatively, the Facebook App can be downloaded on computer using Zune software and downloading the app from the Zune Marketplace section. Just like the Twitter app, even the Facebook app for Zune HD is free to download. Ensure that the Zune HD player and the software on computer are of the latest version.

The Facebook app for Zune HD was long promised when Twitter app was released in December. Apparently, the Facebook app shows four icons on the top - Home, Profile, Friends and Inbox. Just like any other Faceboo app or interface, one can send a status update, check out photos and read-send messages. Besides that, tapping the Zune logo will send update about the song being played on the Zune HD player.
