After the launch of the MC 160 and the E 106 back in 2009, Fly Mobiles has announced the launch of yet another full touch dual-SIM phone called the Linkz (E 145) in India -- complete with all-in-one messenger and social networking abilities. The entire social networking features fall under the Fly Buzz! application. This umbrella application holds under it numerous applications including Nimbuzz, the all-in-one messenger service; Snaptu, the all-in-one social networking application multitude of Java games and Opera Mini, the most popular mobile browser in the world.
With IPL around the corner, the phone comes with a Java application from Cricinfo that will help you get ball-by-ball updates of ongoing matches. There is also another application that is designed to give the users live updates of the upcoming commonwealth game related news and other major sporting events. According to Fly, the Linkz is targeted at youth in the age bracket of 18-35 years (college and office going youth) living in metros and mini metros who prefer to chat and network with friends while on the go.
The phone boasts of a WQVGA screen (262K colors and 240 x 400 pixels resolution), a 2 megapixel, an accelerometer for motion sensing games, video recording and a decently spec-ed. The presence of a 3.5 mm universal audio jack should keep music lovers happy. There's FM radio as well. The phone has a 1500-mAH battery that offers 200 hours of standby time and 6 hours and 30 minutes of talk time. On the connectivity front, there is Bluetooth with A2DP and support for USB via microUSB. It supports memory expansion with the capacity to take 8GB microSD cards.
The phone is priced at Rs. 5,509 and is now available across India.
i bought one and now I am unable to download a PC Sync Software that displays in ENGLISH. The only software available has RUSSIAN as default language.
