New details about Wii version and release date announced

Two months back, details about the new Prince of Persia game showed up on the web. Jordan Mechner created new title is called Prince of Persia: Forgotten Sands and returns to the Prince of Persia: Sands of Time story line. This game would be available for PC, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PlayStation Portable, Nintendo Wii as well as DS platforms in May this year

Prince of Persia: Forgotten Sands has been build from 'ground up' from for Nintendo Wii console. Sands of Time story line, settings and gameplay returns with an untold chapter of the Prince's saga. Developed by Ubisoft's Quebec studio, Forgotten Sands for Wii is claimed to utilize the full graphical capabilities of the Wii "in addition to" unique controls and capabilities.

At this moment, it's unclear whether this game will be released simultaneously on all platforms. Ubisoft representative informed that Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands will also be releasing the X360 and PS3 versions on May 18 and May 20, as reported by VG247. Probably, we'll get more details at the Game Developers Conference 2010 in March this year.
