Valentine's Day comes just once a year and you don't wanna miss this opportunity to impress your loved one. While most of you would want to go to a shop to buy a card, we suggest you another way that will let you add your personal touch to the card. You can create your own greetings card and we are going to show you how you can do it using Microsoft Publisher. So let's get started.
A. Choose the pre-designed publication type and layout
a. Launch Publisher. In the Popular Publication Types task pane on the right, click Greeting Cards.
b. Scroll through a list on the right to view the different pre-designed greeting cards under the Valentine's Day category. Select any one from the list to customize; in this case we have selected Valentine's Day Card 10.
c. In the Greeting Cards Options task pane, under Design, click the option that allows you to modify the layout and appearance of the original design. In this example, we'll use Greetings Bar.
Please note that in some card designs, such as the Fading Frame and Tipped Title designs, you will be able to view only one layout. The layout options displayed under Design in the Greeting Card Options task pane will not be available if you choose one of these designs.
d. Click on Page size dropdown list under Options to choose the card size and fold style you want under Size and Fold. You can choose from among three sizes; Quarter-page side fold, Quarter-page top fold and Half-page side fold.
e. Click on Color scheme dropdown list under Customize to select from among the long list of color schemes for your greeting card.
f. Click on Font scheme dropdown list under Customize to select the font scheme to be used.
g. When you are satisfied with the way your greeting card looks, you can click on the Create button.
