Jade Empire

BioWare's 2005 game for the Xbox - Jade Empire, sold well and got great reviews. BioWare considered releasing a PC port for the same, hoping to achieve similar success. But the development of the port dragged on for around two years and Microsoft, which was the publisher of the Xbox version, handed over the PC port to 2K Games, who finally released it in on Steam in February 2007 as "Special Edition".

Benefits for PC users include improved graphics, and also new content in the form of monsters, fighting styles and new difficulty level.

Yet the nearly two-year wait for the PC port most likely affected sales of the game. BioWare learnt its lesson and for its next game, Mass Effect, got the PC port out only a few months after the original PC game's release.

Bully was a gr8 console game but the PC port stank. Lazy porting job that one. You can find more bugs in that PC port than in any lab.

hey i say port the damn games...they were great..GOW, Fable, Jade Empire, I enjoyed em all!!!! I don't care if it comes late...but come nevertheless. Infact all thanks to Microsoft for the ports and the new take on the console business.

The lesson is clear & simple , you can't sell age old stuff to PC gamer -as most of the pc gamers are hardcore gamer-not like couse-potato-console gamers. So if publisher/developer want to do business in PC platform ,they need to make parallel release or atleast release within 6months of the original release
