After DirectX 11 supporting high-end HD 5800 and HD 5700
series graphic cards, ATI now intends to offer more options in HD 5500 and HD
5400 series. Built using 40nm GPU, the new Radeon HD 5570 is like a younger brother to the existing HD 5670 graphics card with the same number of 400 stream
processors. However, the HD 5570 has a GPU Core engine stock clocked at 650MHz
while the HD 5670 has GPU core engine clocked at 775MHz.
ATI surprises everyone again by sticking to GDDR3 memory
standard as HD 5570 will come with 1GB GDDR3 dedicated video memory. This
memory is clocked at 900MHz and uses 128-bit memory bus interface. The Thermal
Design Power rating of this graphics card is 45W while that of HD 5670 is 61W.
Apart from DirectX 11, the new Radeon HD 5570 also supports
full 1080p HD playback. With the help of dual-link DVI with HDCP port, HDMI 1.3
port and DisplayPort, one can hook up to three displays to support ATI
Eyefinity technology that enables usage of multi-monitor. Along with that, the HD
5570 also brings certified drivers for Windows 7,
