Just like many other companies, Ubisoft too is using social media to promote their products. Folks at Ubisoft have mentioned about a "big announcement" this week on Twitter, a micro-blogging service. It looks like Ubisoft will announce a major title this week.

Aymeric Evennou and Kimi Matsuzaki, the Ubisoft Community Developer developers, updated about the 'big announcement' through their respective Twitter accounts.

Aymeric Evennou update read:

I'd only say : "Big announcement coming up next week." and I mean BIG !

Kimi Matsuzaki updated saying:

TGIF all! Looking forward to a big announcement coming up next week!

Note that Evennou is an Ubisoft Community Developer for several projects, which also includes R.U.S.E., the RTS game.

As per Ubisoft's release on third fiscal quarter performance, R.U.S.E. and Splinter Cell: Conviction were delayed until later this year. Probably, Ubisoft is going to announce new release dates for either or both games. We're betting on R.U.S.E. as Evennou is closely related to the game's Community Development. Though the delay wasn't made official, we can expect to get an official release date at least.

I know this is probably just a fantasy, but I am hoping the big announcement is that Splinter Cell Conviction will include a true multiplayer mode, like every Splinter Cell game. If you check their comment board, you'll see this is by far the most asked for feature. I'm a huge fan (I bought an Xbox just to play Splinter cell) and have bought every Splinter Cell release, and I am not buying Splinter Cell Conviction because of their deficiencies I am hoping for a boycott will shame them into adding it
