After the dual-mode bearing X6 Sidewinder keyboard, Microsoft has now introduced new X4 Sidewinder keyboard. This new member in Sidewinder family features Advanced Anti-Ghosting technology. Microsoft's Applied Sciences Group has developed the Advanced Anti-Ghosting Technology for the gamers to apply most complex key combinations while gaming. Priced at $60 (Rs. 2,880 approx.), the X4 Sidewinder keyboard can be found in U.S. stores from March this year.
Gamers need specific keyboards that allow them to program key combinations as per their requirements. New X4 Sidewinder is one such keyboard that allows pressing several keys together to perform one action and vice versa. Anti-ghosting technology goes to advanced level where the gamers are allowed to press up to 26 keys at once. Each key pressed is detected and scanned separately by the keyboard hardware even if other keys are pressed at the same time.
The X4 Sidewinder also offers support for Macros for performance several actions with one key. Also, new macro repetition feature comes handy when a macro needs to be repeated over and over again. This new keyboard will offer optimal keyboard combinations enabling features for the gamers.
This keyboard is backed by three-year limited hardware warranty.
