The Lord of the Rings: The White Council

As you may all be aware, Electronic Arts holds the rights to make games based on the movie versions of the Lord of the Rings trilogy. In early 2006, it was revealed that EA was working on a game called Project Gray Company . This was said to be an open world fantasy RPG and naturally, everyone thought that this has to be a game based on LOTR. The speculations were proven to be true when EA finally revealed in the summer of 2006, that they were working on Lord of the Rings: The White Council.

But as time went by and it was already 2007, rumors were abounding about the game being canceled for unknown reasons. The executives at EA finally announced that the game has been postponed indefinitely. The following was posted by game's executive producer Steve Gray on the website, and the wording conveys that the hopes were high for this game to be successful.
"The action takes place in a massive open world where you can go anywhere you want, and the characters in this world are powered by an incredible simulation AI based on the same technology used by the makers of The Sims 2. The story of the game is built around a series of Story Quests. You can choose to follow specific Story Quests, embark on a range of other types of quests, or set off on your own adventures in the massive open world environment."

EA later announced that it has instead planned a more action-based title called Lord of the Rings: Conquest.

The only game now I really wanted to see on PC was Gears of War 2! Thanks to His Assness Cliffy B from EPIC, it will never come to PC. And I am not buying an XBOX. Ever.
