At the CES 2010, MSI had showed its dual-display touchscreen Booklet to stay a step ahead of Asus' dual-screen e-reader. After the recent announcement of the Apple iPad, MSI is planning to introduce Nvidia Tegra-based tablet PC in the second half of this year, as reported by DigiTimes. The price of this tablet would be around $500.

MSI sales director Sambora Chen stated that the company is set to launch Nvidia Tegra powered MSI Tablet with 10-inch screen. This 10-inch MSI tablet screen will have colors and touchscreen support. Sporting a light-weight and thin form factor, the MSI Tablet has Wireless support for data connectivity.

As of now, we don't know about the interface but it's possible that MSI may put custom Linux based OS or Android - that would be amazing. Different variations of this tablet would be launched based on the market demand since MSI is flexible with the hardware. However, exact details of the tablet were not revealed.

Looks like we'll see a rise in number of tablets released with number of variations and price points. This is just the beginning.
