    Viewsonic VX1932wm LED Monitor [Review]

Roydon Cerejo, Jan 14, 2010 1300 hrs IST

Viewsonic monitors desperately need a fresh look

Low power draw, good contrast, deep black level, priced appropriately

No bundled DVI cable, slight colour banding and fringing is noticeable

Design and Construction

I guess with all the budget cuts we've faced last year due to the recession, Viewsonic seems to have laid-off their entire product design team, as this one looks identical to the Viewsonics we've seen over the past so many years. There's really nothing much to say about the design, since if you've seen one, you've seen them all. One thing worth noting is that this is not a 16:9 aspect screen but instead a 16:10 screen hence the resolution.

The ports are spaced out well for you to plug in both VGA and DVI at the same time. The Audio in port is relocated next to the power plug.

The stand is sturdy enough for the weight of the monitor and doesn't wobble at all when pushed. There's also a little compartment on the stand to keep coins or your keys.

Unlike the BenQ, which was really slim, the VX1923wm is as big as a typical 19" monitor. Next let's see how this monitor performs.
