Father of Wi-Fi Vic Hayes will be among the speakers there
Continuing our coverage of Bombay Indian Institute of Technology's Techfest 2010 (more about it here), we bring you more in depth scoop on the distinguished guest lecturers who'll be speaking at Techfest 2010 from January 22-24.
One of the most anticipated speakers at this years Techfest is Dr. Lyn Evans who is the Project Head of Large Hadron Collider at CERN, Switzerland and Dr. Lars Rasmussen Co-founder, Google Wave and Google Map. As we all know the Large Hadron Collide (LHC) is the largest and world's most expensive project ever undertaken near Geneva near Geneva, where it spans the border between Switzerland and France about 100 m underground. Dr. Lyn Evans would be visiting the IIT Bombay campus to be a part of Techfest 2010 on January 24, so make sure you are present.
Another major notable present at Techfest would be none other than the Father of Wi-Fi, Vic Hayes who will be speaking about the development of Wi-Fi, its spread and the heights it can reach, with the current research.
Other major speakers attending this event is Gerhard Knies, the chairman of the DESERTEC Foundation's supervisory board, that aims at bringing clean power from deserts into service of energy, water and climate security, Dr. Daniel Thalmann, Director of the Virtual Reality Lab, EPFL, Switzerland who is a pioneer of this topic and has developed many amazing experiments on virtual humans and their behavior and finally Dr. R Chidambaram the Principal Scientific Adviser to the Government of India who'll be speaking on Nuclear energy security and Climate Change.
