Asus has unleashed its new range of laptops at the on going CES at Las Vegas. The new range includes the NX90 Bang & Olufsen Notebook, G73Jh Notebook, Eee PC Seashell Karim Rashid Collection and the U53 Notebook.
Let's quickly delve in to each of these products to see what they have in store for you.
NX90 Bang & Olufsen Notebook
We will start with the NX90 Bang & Olufsen multimedia notebook. As the name suggests, it has a Bang & Olufsen connection with it being the work of its designer David Lewis. It sports a polished aluminum exterior and palm rest that contrast the matte-black keyboard. There are two speakers boasting of ICEpower technology and a "Sonic Focus" technology that according to Asus, produces all audio as flawlessly as possible. It also sports dual touch pads. On the hardware front, it comes in various variants of Intel's Core i7 820QM or 720QM processor. It supports upto to 12GB of DDR3 1066 RAM. The laptop is quite large as well - thanks to its monstrous 18.4-inch LED display. Graphics is handled by NVIDIA GT 335M. It is also one of the first devices to support USB 3.0. Te price of this one is expected to be well beyond the $2000 mark.
Republic of Gamers G73Jh Notebook
If the NX90 is a premium product and fails to appeal, Asus has a pretty good alternative for it in the form of the G73Jh gaming notebook. The rather oddly named "Republic of Gamers" G73Jh is said to be designed like stealth fighter jets and has matching hardware to boot. It is obviously targeted at the high end gamer and features Intel's Core i5 / i7 processors. It supports up to 8GB of DDR3 memory and comes with a 17.3 inch display. The graphics side of things is handled by ATI's Mobility Radeon HD 5870 graphics.
