Samsung Jet
(Rs. 17,000)

If you are looking for a pro-multimedia touch-phone under the 20k bar, then this is your best bet. The Samsung Jet is a pocketable model that bears a 3.1-inch display. It is of the AMOLED type and bears an ultra-high 800 x 480 pixels resolution. Those many pixels packed into a screen that size could mean only one thing - super crispness. Therefore, watching videos on it is nothing less than a wonderful experience. It operates on Samsung's proprietary TouchWiz UI, which is fairly usable.

The 5 megapixel camera takes pretty clear snaps in daylight. A 3.5mm headphone jack allows you to pair it with your own set - not that the audio quality delivered by the ones bundled is bad. Connectivity features include 3.5G (HSDPA), Wi-Fi and GPS. The main gripe with this phone will be its proprietary OS; thus limiting the possibility of installing millions of applications that are available for smartphone OSes.

I dont support divx out of the box and is not a Divx certified device, you need to rely on aThird party application to play divx files in it

if only samsung increases the resolution to 800 x 480 in their next omnia HD this phone will surpass i-phone and would be regarded as iphone killer. i'm using this phone and maan, it really rocks !!! specially the gorgeous 3.7" AMOLED screen., definitely faster than all nokia handsets i have used so far including 5800 and N97... way to go Samsung !!!
