New job postings by Microsoft hinted that Xbox LIVE service is soon coming for Windows Mobile phones. Confirmation comes directly from the Microsoft Job ad regarding an opening for Principal Program Manager LIVE Engagment. Hence, this clearly points that Microsoft is extending Xbox LIVE service beyond the console platform. We've already seen the Xbox LIVE offering instant-on 1080p Zune Video service.

The official Microsoft website carries Job postings for Principal Program Manager, Software Test Engineer and  Senior Software Test Engineer. These three jobs are basically related to bring Xbox LIVE experience to the Windows Mobile Platform. In the job profile of Principal Program Manager, it's clearly stated - bring Xbox LIVE enabled games to Windows Mobile.

Apart from bring Xbox LIVE platform to Windows Mobile, Microsoft is mostly interested in adding Xbox LIVE experience to Windows Mobile based smartphones. Avatar integration, multi-screens and social community on Xbox LIVE will hit the Windows Mobiles, not to forget all the Arcade games as well. The idea is to port the Xbox LIVE experience on the Windows Mobile phones that are available from different handset makers.

With the arrival of Xbox LIVE on Windows Mobile, we can expect to see services like Zune Video, Twitter, Facebook and Last.fm accessible from the Windows Mobile as well. Zune HD users would be be feeling disgruntled but Microsoft looks to target larger audience who access Xbox LIVE and have Windows Mobile phone. Now we can only wait and see how the integration has been planned and when will it be rolled out.
