Electronic Arts has planned to release new Downloadable Content pack next week for BioWare's fantasy role-playing game Dragon Age: Origins. Initially, the Dragon Age: Origins' DLC  will be offered for PC and Xbox 360 games on January 5, 2010 while PlayStation gamers will get it later. Named as Return to Ostagar, this DLC was earlier announced to release in holiday season for $4.99 or 400 Microsoft points/BioWare points.

The top RPG games of recent times, Return to Ostagar, will allow gamers to revisit Ostagar where lies the Grey Wardern's darkest hour. Players would be offered more darkspawn to kill, new items and a second chance to add Dog to party in the process.

The DLC for PlayStation 3 console has been delayed till 'later', that is no fixed date. The official DLC page notes "To find the survivor play through Dragon Age: Origins until after the village of Lothering and Journey to Bann Loren's Lands along the Bannorn's northwest border."
