    Dell Inspiron 11z [Review]

    Ideal for business professionals

Good build quality, appealing looks, multi-touch trackpad, comfortable keyboard, HDMI, loud speakers

Slight touch-pad flaw, 6-cell version is slightly bulky, no VGA port, price could be a bit lower

Performance:

Our test Inspiron 11z model came with Windows Vista pre-installed. But Dell India's website states that this model will come bundled with Windows 7 Home Basic or Home Premium depending upon its SKU. Thus, it was only natural for us to install and test this model with Windows 7 in it. We have compared it to the MSI Wind U200 that sports a very similar configuration and also to the Acer Timeline 4810TZ, which has a faster processor and also falls under similar pricing.

Windows 7 runs fairly snappy on this machine. It is capable of playing 720p resolution videos on it without a hitch. However, it couldn't handle playing a 1080p mkv video file via VLC media player. Also, there is less squinting of the eye on the slightly bigger 11.6-inch screen as compared to 10-inch screened netbooks. This machine is quite ideal for the working professional whose usage mainly involves using the Internet, office productivity suites and multi-media playback as well. However, don't expect it to run newer games smoothly as Intel's integrated graphics in it don't have that kind of fire-power.

Review the Inspiron 13z guys.. That also has a option of discrete graphics card. And this is a consumer oriented laptop,, not a business one anyway.
