Build and Design

Build to sit comfortably on any desktop, the Inspire S2 is a companion not only for your computer but also an external audio device such as your notebook or MP3 Player/PMP and even a Mobile Phone. The Inspire S2 is a three piece system.

The two tiny satellite speakers are actually palm sized. They sit peacefully in an adult palm. The satellites have 2-inch drivers which are hidden behind fabric grills. They have a stand-less design and the rubber footing is good. The face of the satellite speakers is large and shrinks towards the rear which adds to their stability and footing on surfaces.

The right speaker has the controls and the connectivity options provided on its right side. The volume control is a dial which also acts as the ON/OFF switch for the speaker system. The speaker's ON/OFF status is denoted by an LED which glows green with the system ON. The LED is placed on the right satellite and even though hidden behind the fabric, is subtly visible. The connectivity options provided on the right side of the right satellite are two 3.5mm jacks - one for headphone and one for AUX. The AUX makes possible for the connectivity of any device that supports 3.5mm jack or has the adaptor for the same.

Not good enough.. Another design flaw is to have volume control & aux/headphone on right speaker itself... Volume control in particular tend to stop working properly after few months... Happened to me twice on my old Inspire set.. Got new volume control altogether from Creative but it died as well...

i agree. that is bound to happen sooner or later and the volume control introduces noise in the audio too. a better approach is a wireless remote controller
