Will have chiclet keyboard and Windows 7 pre-installed
Back in September, details of upcoming HP notebook and netbook models had surfaced. Along with the HP Mini 311 with ION, another netbook, HP Mini 210, was listed. This new HP Mini 210 is now listed at eCost.com with hardware specifications and the pricing starts $321 (Rs. 15,400 approx.).
Again, just like Asus, Dell, and MSI, now HP has new Mini 210 netbook with 1.66GHz Intel Pineview Atom processor with 512K L2 cache and 667MHz FSB. Packing 1GB memory, HP Mini 210 will offer storage option of 160GB or 250GB HDD space. The 10.1-inch "Flush" glass display LCD display will offer 1024x600 pixel resolution and Intel GMA 3150 will support graphics.
Other features will include Wi-Fi (b/g/n), built-in webcam, Mic, chiclet keyboard, 5-in-1 media card reader and will have Windows 7 Starter edition pre-installed in it. HP Mini 210 will come in Solid Black, Pacific Blue, Sonoma Red, Matte Black with Pattern, and Matte Silver with Pattern colors.
Looks like all upcoming netbooks will have Intel Pine Trail platform and Windows 7 Start edition. Consider it a norm already.
I think HP will sell a lot of these. Just I suggest buying from any other retailer than eCost. Pay a few extra $ if you have to for peace of mind and customer service. If you have ANY problem with your order from eCost, you'll end up with great frustration and a huge headache.
