Fujifilm India has announced the availability of two new A Series compact cameras: the A170 and the A220 in the country. These models are the latest additions to the A-series range of compact cameras from the company.
The 10 megapixel sensor on the A170 and the 12 mega pixel sensor of the A220 have all the features to keep an entry level photographer busy for quite sometime! According to Fujifilm, both cameras perform well in low light and can shoot at up to ISO 1600. They are quite thin as well with both being just over 21.9 mm thi(n)ck . The Veneer coating on both imparts a classy look to both, the A170 and A220. Both the devices boast of a panorama mode where users can combine up to three consecutive shots, making one large panoramic shot.
The cameras also come with the Scene Recognition AUTO feature that has not been seen in the A Series prior to this. The auto scene modes which include Portrait, Landscape, Macro, Backlit Portrait, Night and Night Portrait can be manually selected as well. Then, there is face detection as well which works well in the Portrait Mode. Image stabilization too makes its way in to the list of features. The cameras require two AA size batteries which are easily available and promise adequate power to keep the camera powered for a relatively long duration.
Both A170 and A220 are now available and the are priced at Rs. 6,999 and Rs. 7,499 respectively.A170
