Asus Eee PC 1201N Gets Listed Online

Nvidia ION powered 12-inch Asus Eee PC 1201n netbook just got listed at NewEgg. Yes, it's the same 12-inch display bearing Asus Eee PC 1201n netbook which will compete with Samsung N510 and Lenovo S12. Nvidia ION based netbook was listed for $500 (Rs. 24,000 approx.) and boasts of the new dual-core Intel Atom N330 processor.
Joining the Eee PC family, this netbook sports a 12.1-inch WXGA display that offers 1366x768 pixel resolution. In terms of hardware, 1201n packs 1.6GHz dual-core Intel Atom N330 processor with 1MB cache and 533MHz FSB. This Atom N330 is made from 45nm fab process and has Thermal Design Power Rating of 8W. This dual-core Atom N330 processor is also found in Asus EeeBox EB1012 nettop.
When combined with Nvidia ION Graphics, the overall battery power consumption of this netbook may rise. For the HD playback on bigger screen, this netbook also offers HDMI out port.
By default, Asus adds 2GB DDR2 memory and NewEgg specifications state that this netbook supports up to 8GB of memory. One can have 250GB HDD for storage and 500GB worth online storage. Other features like Wi-Fi (b/g/n), built-in 0.3MP webcam, VGA out, and Integrated sound card remain just like other netbooks.
We spoke to an Asus spokesperson who informed that this netbook will be shown at the CES 2010 and will be available in India in a month or two.
