Better and detailed Guide information

The program guide is much better and detailed than before. Clicking on a program in the guide shows you detailed information in a dialog box and this lets you organize the programs better. You can see that there is a synopsis page, which can be used to record the program or you can even set the WMC to record the complete series. Also, you can make other choices from the top of the dialog box. As an example, selecting Other Showings will get you a list of upcoming scheduled showings of the program, letting you pick the one to be recorded. You can also view the program's cast and crew.

I like the animation when you press and hold the side arrows for a few seconds in the music album menu. Random equispaced albums zoom across the screen and you could release the arrow key anytime and the selection will automatically goto the last album that zoomed.

Windows Media Center is the program the iPod killed. I never use it, even though I admit it is an excellent system for organizing and accessing media. Problem is, iPod users like myself already have our system in iTunes, and that's all we need. So really, WMC is kind of a flop right now, unless Microsoft and Apple come together and give it iPod capability (something that neither side will ever consider doing. Ever.).
