Add photos to your friend's collaborated album, or create one right from your desktop
Google has released the new Picasa 3.6 build that supports collaborative albums just like it's web counterpart - Picasa Web. Google's photo management application Picasa 3.6 now allows users to upload photos and videos to their Contacts' collaborative albums directly. This means, you can upload your school days or college time pics to your friend's album - just as a collection of memories.
Picasa 3.6 software allows adding contributors to the collaborative web albums from the desktop. Contributors can be added while uploading or sharing photos to the album. One can invite other collaborators and set controls on who can contribute or not to the collaborative album. While viewing a folder or album, Picasa 3.6 will show name tags in the "People" pane.
Also, users can now remove folders from being scanned for faces by toggling the face detection on respective folder. Photos can be saved by Date Taken or Custom Folder Name and the photos get organized automatically. The much deserved option of preserving the photos' original JPG compression quality has been added. Also, users can create and save custom crop sizes.
This collaborative albums support will now let users to upload and modify collaborative web albums at ease - right from their desktop.
