Intel Core i3 processor can be expected at the upcoming Consumer Electronics Show 2010 in January as per the recently leaked HP plan slides. Canadian retailer A-Power had listed Intel Core i3 530 processor with 2.9GHz clock speed for sale at $150 (Rs. 7.200 approx.). The link has been removed now but it's obvious that Intel is going to announce these Clarkdale chips sooner or later.

Canadiar retail site A-Power listed dual-core 2.93GHz Intel Core i3 530 chip that belongs to 32nm Westmere architecture based chips codenamed Clarkdale with 512kb of L2 cache and 4MB L3 Cache. Clarkdale chip has a 32nm Westmere computing core and 45nm integrated graphics with integrated memory controller. As noted earlier, the 32nm processors are currently in production.

Intel stated that 32nm Westmere chips will deliver power and performance benefits over 45nm chips. On grounds of power, the Intel Core i3 530 was listed showing 73Watts of Thermal Design Power rating. The CPU core bundled with integrated graphics is looked up on to improve graphics performance at less power usage.

These new Intel Core i3 were touted to be budget friendly dual core processors.
