That seems to be well on the way because Samsung has
yesterday, for the first time, revealed more about the OS. While the juicier
details regarding its UI and the way it will look is still not revealed, some
information is way better than getting nothing at all.
What we now know is that the Bada will come with a host of
smartphone like features. Stuff like motion sensors, face detection and
location based services would be fully supported. Samsung is also keen to
create an apps eco system around the OS and will enable dialer access to the
apps. This means the applications would be able to access contact lists and
even send messages. Samsung has called Bada based phones a "smartphone for
everyone". Now, it remains to be seen if Samsung is trying to bridge the
gap between a normal feature phone and a smartphone with the Bada.
Bada has, in a short span of time, managed to attract the attention of some big names - especially in the gaming sector who have expressed their desire to develop games for it. Then, there is Twitter as well, from the social networking fraternity announcing support for the Bada.
