After they were pulled off shelves following multiple phone issues
A few days after being taken off the shelves in the UK, both Sony Ericsson phones, the Satio and the Aino, have resumed sales in the country - albeit only at Phones4u outlets. The other retailer Carphonewarehouse is yet to resume sales.
The Satio and the Aino were off shelves for the past two odd weeks following multiple reports of the phones failing and shutting down surfaced. The problem was of such nature that it could not have been solved through a "mere" firmware update. This was followed by a product recall of sorts (on a minor scale) following which faulty products were either replaced or given an update that resolved the issue permanently.
As of now, it seems only products in the UK were affected this gravely. However, life has not been a bed of roses for Satio and Aino owners even in other countries, even though the issues with the phones there haven't been as serious as the ones in the UK. In the wake of all this, Sony Ericsson did release an update for the Aino just yesterday - which, apparently, has not made things any better.
