    Enjoy good video playback

Sleek, 2.8-inch screen, good pair of in-ear earphones, audio quality

    Jerky interface, bit heavy

Philips, a few months back, had announced its new range of portable audio-video players from GoGear, and it was only recently that we reviewed the GoGear Vibe and the GoGear Aria. Both these players were found to be a good option for those looking for an MP3 player, but not so much of a video player. Today we have another one from the same GoGear range that was launched a couple of months back -- the GoGear Opus. The GoGear Opus, unlike the earlier models, is more of a video player. It has a large screen and comes with an 8GB capacity. Let's see how it compares to the other alternatives in the market.

Bundle

  • Philips GoGear Opus
  • Stereo in-earphones
  • Extra Earbuds (small & large)
  • Mini-USB cable
  • Software CD & Manual
  • Warranty Card

Crappy player at best. 320x240 res? pls that's not worth for video. 400x240 is min. + 3 inch screen as well. This thing doesn't even have a microSD slot. chuck it. Review the GoGear MUSE, that looks decent. Also where is Creative Zen MX? That thing isn't even launched in India...even the XFi2 ain't available. Contact their official distributor it ain't there. If your quoting grey market prices then that's different. So pls confirm your sources TT
