We reviewed the Sony Ericsson Aino recently and had found the firmware on the initial phones not quite up to the mark. Well, Sony Ericsson has just released a firmware update to its premium handset, which promises to improve the performance of the handset. Sony Ericsson has said that the the new firmware will lower battery consumption and bring improvement to the GPS, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth performance. A new game, Loco Roco, will also be added with this new update.
We have an Aino with us at this moment and so we promptly updated it with the new firmware.Sadly, we did not notice any major improvements in performance. Things like the sluggish media player interface and less that optimal camera performance still remain, and the new update instead only concentrates on things that didn't require a major update. This is similar to user reviews to the recent firmware update to the Satio, where users did not notice major changes in performance, which they were expecting.
Another phone that will soon receive an update is the Sony Ericsson Yari. The expected changes are lower battery consumption and improvements to GPS and Bluetooth. There will also be two new games pre-installed -- Snowboard Rush and Hamster Hustle.
It was nice of Sony Ericsson to come up with a firmware update so soon after the products were launched. However, it would be better if they had concentrated on the real problems that were present on the previous firmwares that users were facing.

You missed the fact that the software update does not include the facebook application, which most professional reviewers regards as one of Ainos best features.
The (absolutely unforgivable) removal of the facebook application is something that turns a wonderful phone into a worthless piece of junk.
I loved my Aino when I got it - but now it's just annoying and taking up precious pocket space.
