Creative Unveils 3rd Gen Vado HD

Creative has introduced its third generation Vado HD pocket video camcorder which comes in black or white color. Offered in 4GB built-in capacity, the third generation Vado HD packs several enhancements over the second generation model. The new Vado HD will be available for Rs. 14, 999 in India. This third generation Vado HD model boasts out-of-the-box PC and Mac support.
Just like the previous generation models, the third generation Vado HD pocket video camcorder has HDMI out, wide-angle lens and easily removable to charge battery. This Vado HD model will come with new Vado Central 3.0 software. Certain should-have features were noted in our review of second generation Creative Vado HD. Vado Central 3.0 is said to promise instant upload to web capabilities and integrated editing options.
Looks like Creative heard us and introduced still photo capture mode supporting 1280x720 HD image resolutions. The HD CMOS sensor allows capturing video in HD (1280x720) quality and VGA (640x480) quality resolutions. Up to 4 hours of VGA quality video and 2 hours of HD video can be recorded. New third generation Vado HD also features motion detection mode that starts recording when motion is detected.
Apart from these enhancements, new Vado HD features headphone out and external stereo microphone support for better audio recording.
Compared with these enhancements, the rival Flip's next-generation pocket video camcorder model will outdo Vado HD its Wi-Fi support.
