Electronic Arts has officially announced Medal of Honor franchise's new game called 'Medal of Honor'. This modern re-boot of decade old Medal of Honor series games has a new soldier, new setting and is developed by a new team. Medal of Honor will introduce Tier 1 Operator, so far unknown soldier, and will put the players in the war scene of Aghanistan. Yes, for the first time Medal of Honor shifts focus from World War II scene to Modern day warfare. This game is set to arrive fall (Sept.-Oct.) next year for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC.

EA Los Angeles developed single player experience of Medal of Honor while the multiplayer experience will be developed by EA DICE. Boasted as to reboot the MoH franchise to new generation, the new Medal of Honor game puts most elite American Soldier as Tier 1 Operator in real events-based modern day war-torn Afghanistan settings. Tier 1 Operators are elite soldiers of an unknown group that falls directly under National Command Authority.

EA LA's development team has been working closely with Tier 1 Operators from the U.S. Special Operations Community. Chris Plante of UGO Gamesblog hunted down information about the bearded Tier 1 soldier on the Medal of Honor who is nicknamed "Cowboy" and is U.S. Special Forces officer. Cowboy's CGI incarnation is shown on the game boxshot.

Medal of Honor series shared 'gray shade' similarity with Call of Duty series which rebooted to Modern Warfare two years back. EA will premiere the Medal of Honor trailer at Spike's Video Game Awards on December 12.

No, BFBC 2 isn't going to be a flop and it's not going to be released until March 2010 anyway. This is EA's answer to Treyarch's Call of Duty, which, could be a pretty bold statement. BFBC 2 will do just fine against MW2..i'm playing the beta and I'm already loving it!

I know, EA has this habit of repeating good things over and over again till they get boring. I hope they make this game different from MW2.
