Call of Duty, which is synonymous with recreating epic WWII battles, took the gaming fraternity by storm around two years back with Modern Warfare. Today it's considered one of the best combat games for the PC.
The single player campaign although a bit short, was action-packed and intense. The multiplayer on the other hand kept you engaged for a long time. Everyone expected a sequel to come up next but instead we were thrust into WWII again with COD: World at War, which was a bit of a disappointment for me at least, as the missions seemed very similar. The only difference being that you were up against the Japanese instead of jerries.
Finally the day has come when Infinity Ward has given us the true sequel to Modern Warfare, which they promised would be bigger and more intense than the first one. Modern Warfare 2 (MW2) uses the same engine that powered the first game. However, it's tweaked here and there for better lighting effects and a new Texture Streaming feature for the PC version, which enhances the texture on the characters and maps. This was expected, as with every installment the visual quality is bound to get better, but how much better?, that we'll have to wait and see. Next let's have a look at the gameplay.
