After LED backlit televisions it was only a matter of time before we received the first wave of LED backlit monitors. Most of the major monitor manufacturers have launched LED backlit monitors, while BenQ is the first to officially launch them in India. Today we have the 24-inch model known as the V2400 Eco, which according to BenQ consumes around 36% lesser power than a conventional CCFL lit 24-incher. Having a LED backlight has other advantages too. For instance, the entire frame can now be made a lot slimmer and you get a more even backlight throughout the screen. Also, backlight bleeding is a lot less, which means blacks appear deeper in a dark room.

Coming back to BenQ, the V2400 Eco comes with the typical 1920x1080 resolution, 250cd/m2 brightness level, 5ms response time, and a really large Dynamic Contrast ratio. BenQ has gone for a completely different styling for the V2400 Eco. However, it features a similarly designed off-centered stand that they first used in the V2400HD. Let's check this out in more detail.

**Now we know it's an Eco monitor, but growing plants on the stand! That's taking it a bit too far we think** -ROTFL Monitor looks like an Apple mon! but nice slim design, and no for DVI port and yes for VGA? that was a bad idea though. waiting for Samsung LED monitors.
