Dell has divided its laptop line up into three segments; the Inspiron series appears at the lower end of the spectrum with a spartan feature list, while the top segment consists of the XPS series. Not too long ago, Dell released the Studio line of laptops that populated the mid-end range. However, of late, the Inspiron and Studio series have been sporting somewhat similar looks. Now, we also see the Inspiron line getting sub-divided.
Today we have for review the Inspiron 14z, a slimmer, lighter variant of the Inspiron 14 model we'd reviewed a couple of months ago. Other than the physical attributes, the Inspiron 14z is also powered by Intel's low-voltage Core 2 Duo SU9400 processor. For those keen to know the main differences between this and a regular Core 2 Duo (which powered the Inspiron 14), here's a table to explain the same.
Let's see how the Inspiron 14z performs on all counts.
