Looks like a credit card, but is a powerful backup device

Good speeds, software bundle for Windows and Mac

Expensive, software misses some backup features, no carry pouch

The Drive

The Traveler is shaped and looks like a standard credit card, only a bit thicker and weighs just a few grams. In fact, you can place it with your credit cards in the wallet or you can simply slip it into your pocket. It has aluminum housing with a brushed finish, which is scratch-resistant. The beauty of this exterior is that if it happens to get dirty due to dust, all you need to do is simply wipe it and it looks good as new. The build is pretty solid.

The drive has a retractable Mini USB plug connected to the drive by means of a flexible ribbon cable, which flips open as shown above. The length of the retractable cable is just about two cm, and the USB plug is of the unprotected type. This causes the drive to get unplugged from the USB socket, especially if it is placed higher up, as there isn't enough traction to support the weight of the drive. Also, the ribbon cable is rather unconventional, which gives a feeling that it may be delicate, though we found out that it is not the case.

There is one bright white LED present on the USB connector, which indicates power supply to the drive and activity.

The drive boasts of a 16GB capacity, which is enough for most purposes. The drive comes preformatted with NTFS, so you will be able to carry a file larger than 4 GB. As you can see, the reported capacity of the drive in Windows Explorer Properties is 14.7 GB.
