Voodo Doll




We will have to go all the way back to 1997 when 3D Realms were really experimenting with FPS genre and coming up with some memorable results like Duke Nukem 3D, Shadow Warrior and Blood.


Blood's protagonist is a defected cultist named Caleb and his arsenal uses both technology and supernatural powers. The game has its share of gruesome enemies, gloomy environments and haunting ambient sounds. One of the more powerful weapons of the game is a Vodoo doll that works [sic] exactly like its real life version. It may not sound very impressive today, but in those days of shooting and blowing up monsters, torturing your enemies with needles and a doll was just plain awesome.


The Badger Saw




Okay, now this one hasn't really seen the light of day, but early game footage shown during E3 2008 featured one of the most curious and twisted weapons in a game. The weapon is called "The Badger Gun" and who else would come up with it but the demented minds at Running with Scissor -- developers of Postal III.


This "weapon" is actually the player carrying a feral badger that takes over the traditional function of a chainsaw. Hold up the Badger toward the enemy and watch the little terror maul and tear up your victims. I really hope this one makes it into the final cut.

WHOA!!! Missed out a whole arsenal here... How can you not mention Dagger of time from the POP series?? And Glaive from Dark Sector???

More like a funny weapons. U should also mention some from Total Overdose, that game has some special skills which can be used as weapons like El Toro, Piniata. But when u talk about WOW WEAPONS, nothing can beat Chainsaw assault gun aka Lancer from Gears of War! That weapon was the main weapon of the game!

hahaha funny read. Actually you ought to change this, article from Awesome weapons to funny/Crazy/Quirky weapons. Coz Awesome indicates serious weaponry which isn't what u wanted to really say. Nevertheless fun read!
