We thought of doing a roundup of some of the most memorable weapons we have seen in games. The qualifier to be on the list is not the weapon's destructive power or even its appearance, rather we thought of listing weapons that make us go WOW!! In no particular order, here they are:

Clawdovic Cacadoos Vulgaris

The Clawdovic Cacadoos Vulgaris, or for obvious reasons referred simply as The Parrot Bomb, was featured in Croteam masterpiece, Serious Sam (The Second Encounter). Despite all the weirdness and wackiness in the game, this weapon takes the cake. Clawdovic is actually a parrot (or a similar bird) clutching a bomb in its talons that flies toward its enemies for an explosive finale.

With the first Serious Sam game going HD this month, maybe someday we will get to see Clawdovic Cacadoos Vulgaris with extra polygons.

Groovitron

Groovitron is a perfect weapon for crowd control that was introduced in Ratchet & Clank Future: Tools of Destruction. This is carried in the game as a device, limiting carrying capacity to just two or three at a time. When the Groovitron is activated in the game, a disco ball floats over the enemies, compelling them to start dancing. The distracted enemies can then be dispatched using more "conventional" means.

This funk inducing device made its come back in Crack in Time, in a different avatar-the Groovitron Glove.

Lilarcor

When discussing weapons of D&D universe, you will find people throwing all sorts of quirky numbers like 2D10 and arcane effects like vorpal. Baldurs' Gate 2 changed all that by introducing a weapon that is memorable not so much for its utility but more because of its personality.

Lilarcor is a two-handed weapon with a +3 magic enchantment and houses the soul of a certain Lawrence Lilarcor. The story goes that Lilacor (the man, not the weapon) once fought an "epic" battle against a tree that he believed was an evil treant. The outcome of the battle was not as epic for Lawrence, since it is suspected that his soul got trapped in the sword.

The sword was a much needed comic relief in the otherwise dark and gloomy game. When wielded, it would make wiseass comments, taunt the player as well as the enemies and had an insatiable thirst for conflict.

The sword also made its unofficial appearance in the two Elder Scrolls game (Morrowind and Oblivion) through a fan created mod.

More like a funny weapons. U should also mention some from Total Overdose, that game has some special skills which can be used as weapons like El Toro, Piniata. But when u talk about WOW WEAPONS, nothing can beat Chainsaw assault gun aka Lancer from Gears of War! That weapon was the main weapon of the game!

Frankly this article deserves to be a forum post at best.
