    Stylish and feature packed

Solid build, good styling, noise reduction works well, DivX through USB, vibrant colors

TruMotion works intermittently, little pricey, weak black levels

We finally have LG 5 series LCD TV with us and we'll be reviewing its 42-incher which boasts of TruMotion 200Hz, invisible speakers, IPS panel, DivX through USB and so on. This is the same panel used in some of LG's other series as well which we've tested. So, the picture quality should be similar. The LH50 series doesn't focus on any particular feature so you could say it's the slightly cheaper, mellowed down version of the Scarlet and Jazz series.

The specifications are similar to what you'd expect from a 42-inch LCD TV like 1920x1080 resolution, 2ms response time, super high dynamic contrast ratio, three HDMI ports and the lot. Let's see how this stacks up against the competition.

At 85K to 90K you will get the Samsung LED TV. Add some to your budget and go for it.

@rajneesh when people mean bufget, they cant go aading more thousands to such budget,i think samsung is giving u some money to promote their brand ,i purchased samsung LED tv and got very flickery content on HD inputsso i returned the set and got a LG LH50YR it has a gr8 flicker free motion display which renders pixel-less images and also the sound quality is good

This model is available in chennai for Rs.67000/- for the past 3 months.I own the 42lh50 which also has trumotion 200hz and is slightly cheaper.i bought it for Rs.61500/-.I am surprised that you say that LG is pricier. In chennai at least Samsung is costlier
