Will be made available in Europe and Asia in the next few days
HTC has announced its latest Windows Mobile 6.5-powered monster phone, the HD2, in markets across Europe and Asia.
Earlier known as the Leo, the HD2 boasts of a high-resolution, 4.3-inch capacitive touch display, and is ultra thin as well. The phone is powered by Qualcomm's new 1 GHz Snapdragon mobile processor and will be the first Windows Mobile phone from HTC to come with the Sense UI, earlier seen on the Android based, HTC Hero.
HTC has made quite a few changes to the way the HD2 handles things including a single contact view that displays individual communication snapshots of your conversations with the people in your life regardless of whether a call, text, Facebook status update or email were used. The unified messaging feature has been a long demanded functionality and it finally seems to have made its landing with the latest Windows Mobile device. For imaging, the HD2 has a now standard 5-megapixel camera that is capable of capturing above average images. HTC HD2 also includes a new Windows-based version of its Twitter application, HTC Peep.
The phone will be available in the next few days at an undisclosed price in Europe and Asia. The U.S. landfall is expected to happen only by early 2010.
