Build & Design

The Altec Lansing VS2620 sports a contemporary design. It has a classic touch but its shape is modern. However, it's not something that will go down with everyone and anyone. The sharp and edgy design is neat which could be one of its core points of attraction.

The speakers are shaped like pyramids of Mayan city. They are triangular but do not have a pointed peak. The speakers look like they have been placed within a metal frame though it's just plastic given a metal finish. The frame is only for the face of the speaker and hence the rear end of the speaker sits to the floor while the front is raised within the frame leaving a gap at the bottom. This treatment gives the speakers an angled look such that it can blast audio.

Each speaker has two drivers placed one over the other. The three-inch drivers are full range tuned to provide quality across the entire spectrum. There are dull golden coloured rings that highlight the drivers through the translucent fabric covering them. The fabric is of a dull dark brown shade. These are the factors responsible in giving the speakers that classic feel.
