    Norton Internet Security 2010 [Review]

Nikhil Rastogi, Nov 01, 2009 0930 hrs IST

Norton shredded its bloatware status in the 2009 iteration, but it truly shines in the 2010 version

Very fast installation, light on the system, excellent detection rate, good interface, user-friendly, good help file and info hints, usage aware, does not bog a user with tough security decisions

No option to ignore false positive and run the file, no quarantine control over all elements in the Suite, More detail on why something is considered suspicious

A quick glance at Norton Internet Security 2010 and you'll hardly notice any difference from its predecessor- Norton Internet Security 2009. It is pretty much the same fantastically revamped Suite that was overhauled in 2009, with a notable enhancement under the hood. It now has a new reputation-based security technology that is better geared up against quickly evolving threats than traditional signature-based and behaviour-based detection.

Windows 7 professional 10k, Ms office 2007 16.5K, Laptop 35 K, Norton 1420Rs = Rs 62K Nice man. Who will buy these? NetBook + ubuntu + Openoffice + kaspersky trial (reinstall trial if expires) = 22K only if you pay for netbook think different

yes Norton is waste it grabs more memory & cpu. kaspersky is best. I think your idea is best for entry level computer usage.

Hey Srichennai, u get laptops with Win7 in them for 35k officially, u don't need to spend separately. Also many of them throw in MS office 2007 at a much lower cost. Home and Student edition is under Rs.5k. Or go for completely free open office. Great Software!

kaspersky is the best it is priced at just Rs.450/- for single user and it detects and blocks every virus or trojan attack immediately

This antivirus is still the same which detects everything as a virus & this is why Kaspersky & Bit defender is the best. Where is Bit Defender Internet Antivirus for testing & why not have u tested on Windows 7, since Vista is rubbish.
