Powerful bass response, good detail retrieval and impressive soundstage, built-in button and microphone works well with iPhone/iPods and some mobile phones
Weak lower mid-range performance, slightly aggressive top-end, could not work with many mobile phones, overly stiff cable

How can you say that they do not measure up to scrutiny and then recommend them to readers. Also about the price point you can get better earphones for 1/4th the price.
When I said it does not measure up to scrutiny, I meant that audiophiles won't find the earphones that great. However most people aren't audiophiles and for them these would seem absolutely great and it is for such people that I am recommending these earphones to. Also audio quality does not move in proportion to the price and you'd often find spending a lot of money and getting only marginal improvement in audio quality. That is how it is in the world of audio equipment. If you are satisfied with the audio quality earphones of cheap earphones then that's your choice. But those who truly enjoy high quality audio wouldn't mind spending more even if it gives them only marginally better audio quality.
