Nokia has announced the launch of its first ever netbook, the much talked about Booklet 3G, in the U.S. market. The netbook is expected to go on sale later this month and will be sold by network operator AT&T and retailer BestBuy. What we now know is that AT&T will be offering the Booklet 3G for $299.99 (Rs. 13,821 approx.) coupled with a 2 year data plan. The other alternative is, of course, to buy the netbook for $599.99 (Rs. 27,642 approx.) without the contract.

Although the netbok would be "available" later this month, deliveries will happen only by mid-November. So, realistically speaking, there's still a month left for the product to go mainstream

The Booklet 3G comes loaded with Windows 7 and is 3G ready as well! Apart from all this it also packs in Wi-Fi, A-GPS, Ovi Maps, Ovi Suite, a 10.1 inch HD-ready display, HDMI port for HD video out. It also claims a decent 12 hours of battery life - which will be put to test in the months to come!

It is unusual for Nokia to sell a product in U.S. almost simultaneous to its launch in Europe. But then, the Booklet 3G is unlike other Nokia products!
