China-based In Technology Group (ITG) has announced its latest contraption, the absolutely whacky xpPhone, which is all set to go on sale soon.
The fully functional 3G phone does not just bring PC like functionality to the phone. It is a PC complete with an AMD Processor and Windows XP as the Operating System. The xpPhone boasts of a massive 4.8-inch touchscreen display with a full QWERTY keyboard and has 1GB of RAM to run all your applications. With a colossal 120GB hard disk, you will never run out of space on this one - should you use it like a phone, of course! While the specs might be impressive for a cellphone, if it were a PC, it would have been an outdated slob. But then, it isn't one!
Other features include a pretty rudimentary 1.3 megapixel camera. We don't need to go on much about the multimedia capability of this one - especially if you happen to be used to Windows XP. The phone boasts of a comprehensive network support with both GSM and CDMA chips inside - and there's HSDPA and HSUPA support as well! Other features include GPS navigation, an USB and VGA port. The xpPhone offers 5 hours of talk time and 5 days of standby time.
While the
device is available on pre-order, the
company hasn't revealed the price of this wonder.
