Logic Pro, Logic Express and Main Stage also get fixes and enhancements
It was on Sept. 22 that Apple released slew of updates for its iTunes and Logic Suite applications. These updates are mostly intended to fix bugs and also bring overall stability with a couple of enhancements. The iTunes 9.0.1 update gets number of fixes for the media player and Apple devices verification issues. The Logic suite apps got fixes for improving stability and enhancements.
Mac OS X 10.4.11 or later, Windows XP SP2 and Vista (32-bit) users can download iTunes 9.0.1 update (82.95MB) from the Apple website. Windows Vista 64-bit users can download iTunes 9.0.1 update (88.80MB) for their system separately.
The Fixes in iTunes 9.0.1 update include:
Resolves issues browsing the iTunes Store
Addresses a performance issue where iTunes may become unresponsive
Fixes a problem where iTunes may unexpectedly quit
Fixes a problem syncing Podcasts in playlists to iPod or iPhone
Fixes a problem sorting albums with multiple discs
Addresses an issue with the Zoom button not switching to Mini Player
Improves application syncing for iPod touch and iPhone
Genius is now automatically updated to show Genius Mixes
Apple also released updates for Logic Pro 9.0.1 (183MB) and Logic Express 9.0.1 (133.74MB) for Mac OS 10.5.8 systems. The update brings fixes for:
Flex Markers can align and snap to MIDI notes
Performing a punch-in recording with Replace Mode now behaves correctly
The I/O plug-in adds an option for latency compensation
Logic Pro 9 users must update their suite with the above mentioned updates for better stability of the program.
MainStage 2 users also get few fixes and enhancement in their program for Mac OS X 10.5.8 systems.
The Reverse option for Loopback now behaves consistently
Pitchbend data is transmitted properly to external instruments
A recording in Loopback can be used to define the tempo for MainStage
The I/O plug-in is now available in MainStage
All these updates are intended to improve overall program performance and stability - that's what bug fixing updates are for.
