Following the latest trend, the whole bezel has a gloss finish, which means plenty of style but a lot of fingerprints as well. The sides are thicker as compared to the top and bottom, with the touch sensitive menu buttons on the right. The buttons are illuminated, so it can easily be used in the dark as well.
The rear of the monitor has a rather unique design with a curved frame, with the rear ports neatly hidden away behind a plastic panel. The speakers are placed at the bottom and fire downwards through the vents.
The ports include VGA, DVI and HDMI for display, as well as Audio-In and Out for the speakers. Toward the other end we have the standard three pin power connector. The ports are actually tucked behind a plastic panel, so you need to route the cables through the grooves and then close the flap. The blue back panel adds a nice contrast to the black. The width of the monitor is a little thicker than usual and the plastic grill on the top makes it look a bit plasticky.
I was a little taken aback when I saw the stand, as it seemed way too puny for this monitor. Though not the best designed stand, it does the job. The monitor hardly wobbles when pushed from the side and is quite sturdy. This one only gives you the option to tilt forward and backward.
The menu buttons are touch-sensitive and have blue backlight. Just like the Dell the function of the menu buttons are displayed on the screen itself. The buttons work instantly with just a slight touch and the menu is easy to read and navigate. This probably may just be a problem with our review piece, but the power button refused to work, which means we couldn't turn the monitor off.
Now that we've seen what the monitor looks like, let's see what it's capable of.
Hi all, yesterday I bought this monitor from CTC, Hyd @ 9.9k. And watched AVATAR 720p movie & the clarity was Awesome. Nothing can beat this one in HD movies.
This monitor is great for its price range (all TN lcd's have color blanding for instance). The Acer H235H is very similar in specification to the best 2ms Samsungs, but have a much faster dot-clock and much better contrast.
5-stars & recommended buy.
The bundle also includes a CD where a more elaborate manual than the printed quick guided is available. Also the CD contains the software Acer e-display management. Also the product can be registered online using the CD.

Based on this review, I have purchased the Acer 23 inch LCD Monitor. I am very pleased with the performance of this monitor. In addition to using as my computer monitor, where the performance is excellent, I am also using it as a TV by adding an external TV Tuner Box. Thank you Techtree,
