iPod Shuffle Gets More Colors
Apple's incredibly small and talking iPod, the third generation iPod Shuffle, operates with VoiceOver controls. The third generation 4GB iPod Shuffle was available for $79 (for Rs. 4,900 in India) in silver and black colors.
Apple introduced new third generation iPod Shuffle in 2GB storage capacity starting $59 (Rs. 2,800 approx.) along with existing 4GB model for $79 in five colors silver, black, pink, blue and green.
With smaller iPod Shuffle, Apple had also introduced new innovation in form of a mysterious control chip in Apple earphones with remote. To please the users not comfortable with the official Apple earphones with remote, Apple announces support for third-party earphones with remote from manufacturers that include Sony, V-MODA, Klipsch and Scosche.
So now, users can buy iPod Shuffle-friendly earphones with built-in controls from any of the previously mentioned four companies. Apple has also unleashed a new special edition 4GB stainless steel iPod Shuffle for $99 (Rs. 4,750 approx.) via Apple Online Store and Apple Retail stores.
Amidst the new updates for third generation iPod Shuffle, Apple quietly pulls the plug on the second generation iPod Shuffle.
