HP may soon unveil new Pavilion laptops, ultra portable notebooks and Mini netbooks
HP is rumored to bring a slew of new laptops, ultra portable notebooks and netbooks later this year. Recent reports on a Dutch website Notebook Spot point that HP will bring the new Pavilion dv8, ultra portable dm1 and dm3 models along with Nvidia ION based Mini 311 netbook.
The HP Pavilion dv8 will have Intel's 45nm (octal-threaded) Core i7 720QM CPU codenamed Clarksfield and 640GB for storage with 4GB memory. With the 18.4-inch full HD 1920x1080 pixel resolution supporting screen, a Blu-ray drive will be bundled to enjoy the Blu-ray HD movies. HP Pavilion dv6 offers an option between 512MB ATI Radeon HD 4530 and 1GB ATI Radeon HD 4650 discrete graphics, so we hope something similar will be offered with dv8 as well.
A Notebook Review Forum member found the HP softpaq file that lists new HP laptops and netbook models. Intel's consumer ultra-low voltage powered 11.6-inch Pavilion dm1 and Pavilion dm3 ultra portable laptops will have 1366x768 glossy displays. While the Pavilion dm2 will be offered with AMD Athlon MV-40 Neo chip, which already features in Pavilion dv2 model.
More Computers have stated that the HP Mini 311c will have a 11.6-inch HD supporting display, 1.6GHz Intel Atom N270 processor, 1GB RAM, 160GB HDD and WiFi (802.11 b/g). The highlight of this netbook would be Nvidia ION graphics that will power the HD content on the 11.6-inch display.
Apart from these laptops, other laptops include new HP TouchSmart TM2, VooDoo Envy 155 (apparently a 15-inch ENVY machine), and HP Mini 210 netbook, which looks like the successor of Mini 110.
Probably HP will unveil a few of these notebooks after the launch of Windows 7 on Oct 22.
